Tamachi: This up-and-coming neighbourhood was historically a warehouse district, connected to Tokyo Bay by a network of picturesque canals. More recently, it has seen a renaissance as developers transform Tamachi into a major business hub. MSB Tamachi, home of Japan’s first Pullman hotel, is a commercial complex anchored by the soaring North and South towers. International headquarters, namely Mitsubishi, are found here, as well as restaurants and retailers. A few metres away is Shibaura Park, ideal for a stroll or run. A short walk from the hotel is a network of back streets with authentic izakayas (Japanese pubs), noodle shops, storefronts and the Tokyo Port Sake Brewery.
